It´s been 5 days...

...yet sometimes it seems like much longer. I wish I could upload some pictures. But I left that handy little thing known as some sort of upload cord back in WI.
So far, our time here has been--well, in a word: awesome. It hasn´t all been roses, but we´re learning a lot about each other and how to serve together as a team, and we´ve had some really sweet moments in the community.

Highlights:

Ms. Chile and Mr. Argentina who are staying at our hostel with us. They´re traveling through Central and South America and we´ve had some great times with them in conversation and fellowship. Some of us got to try their ¨mate¨ (that would be MAH-TAY and it´s tea, I promise)...and I do believe Kara and Greg volunteered to cook them a delicious dinner this evening.

Antioch Bible Community church service last night. It was so sweet to fellowship with Americans and Mexicans who love the Lord!

Transportation. There are fifteen of us and we have two vans that have been graciously put at our disposal this last week. San Miguel is colonial, however, which translates to narrow cobblestone streets with not much leeway for parking or pick-ups. Chinese fire drills come in handy when our drivers call us and tell us to meet them on a particular street and be ready to jump in fast. We´re getting the hang of squishing 10 people into a minivan in less than 30 seconds.

¡Muchísimas gracias por sus oraciones! ¡Qué Dios les bendiga!

  1. I noticed you're using a lot of accent markers (´) instead of apostrophes ('). How are those keyboards treating ya?

Are Ms. Chile and Mr. Argentina actual names?
